SDG 3: Good health and well-being
The 2030 Agenda defines SDG 3 as follows: ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. Switzerland is making every effort to achieve this goal and its targets by 2030.

What is SDG 3 about?
SDG 3 represents better health for people everywhere. Everyone should be protected against disease, and have access to quality healthcare services and medication, without experiencing financial hardship.
This SDG includes, in particular, efforts to fight child and maternal mortality, and communicable diseases such as COVID-19, AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. It also aims to combat non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and to prevent road traffic accidents and substance abuse. All people must have access to good-quality healthcare and medicines, including financial risk protection. In addition, universal access to sexual and reproductive healthcare services, including family planning, information and education, must be ensured by 2030.
The Federal Council is committed to implementing the goals and targets of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development together with all UN member states by 2030. The federal government will provide an assessment of how well Switzerland has achieved each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This will be based on an analysis of key progress and challenges for each of the total 169 targets.
How well has Switzerland progressed in its implementation of SDG 3?
What, specifically, is Switzerland doing to achieve SDG 3 and its targets? What do the figures say? What progress has Switzerland made? What challenges still need to be addressed? And who is involved in implementation?
You'll find the answers on SDGital2030.ch.
